I have just been in a range of meetings discussing various system options. It soon became clear that many of the things i learnt initially needed tweaking. This is because i learnt *on the job*, which caused me to miss the more holistic approach.
My personal belief is that to learn a system, you must have a brief introduction of its scope, then be shown and do for yourself some low level tasks. Once this comfort level is reached the learner needs to be pulled out of the micro scale, and have the system reshown to them but this time in a more holistic and thorough manner. This is because i believe you cannot do tasks without first knowing what you are doing, but you can’t truly understand a system or its scope without having first experienced it as a user.

After this i realised i was very hungry, and by hook or by crook im going to have a 30 min lunch break for a change . For those out there who dont cook much, i did some recent experimenting. I grabbed a meaty salmon steak, threw it on the pan, soaked it in 2 lemons worth of juice and doused it in cracked black pepper. I boiled some pasta, sliced up some tomatos and cucumbers and threw them into the pan once the salmon was cooked. Yum. Amazingly it turned out…

Note what isn’t clear currently is how to locate and access other WordPress blogs by a posting author. This could be remedied by several options including:

• Post signatures that were pasted in at the bottom of each post (drawback: manual and repetitive process)
• A posting author’s blogroll
• References to blogs and/or blog posts when appropriate

Excellent, as promised Forrest’s posts are being categorised under his name – click Forrest D to bring up all posts by this author. His image appears beside the the posts he’s authored; or in the case of multiple sequential posts, beside the most recent one.

Additionally, posts tagged using a common convention all appear in the same page despite being created my multiple authors. Look at testing for example.

The effects of music is profound upon elearning. Listening to “good” music can strengthen the uptake of information in general, and can act as triggers to recall it again.

Ahhhh you know what, it looks like each blog author is limited to a single post on the main page. The WP blog displays 10 or 15 entries, but each author is only represented once – despite having multiple posts. Need to test this theory with a second user thought…
